Research Study Title: Climate Ready, Set, Go: Research Study on Archives and K-12 Disaster Education
Summary of the Research Study: This study explores and analyzes youth and adult participant opinions, behaviors, and concerns on using archival materials in informal learning scenarios like after school activities, summer camps, or enrichment programs. Through this research study, the researcher investigates how learning and teaching about natural environments and the changes it undergoes can help mitigate emotional, mental, physical, and cognitive stress typically experienced during natural disasters.
By using historic and contemporary archival records and manifestation of materialized memories of past and present disasters.
